Jake is responsible for driving financial and strategic leadership across Mechanism and the companies in our portfolio. He has broad experience working with businesses at all stages of growth, navigating strategic planning and FP&A, M&A and capital markets, cash flow management, and corporate strategy to ensure a scalable approach to long-term planning and financial operations.

Prior to Mechanism, Jake worked as an investment banker, private equity investor, and corporate development leader. He also co-founded his own company which he operated for two years and eventually sold. Jake graduated with a dual-degree in Finance & Economics from the University of Iowa. Outside of work, he enjoys anything active/outdoor oriented, traveling, and spending time with his family, friends, and golden retriever.
